Aligning Your Business Strategy With Your Internet Marketing Strategy: Plan, Monitor And Adjust!

Aligning Your Business Strategy With Your Internet Marketing Strategy: Plan, Monitor And Adjust!

Every successful business has an intelligent strategy, and online businesses are no different. However, given the many additional marketing avenues that the internet provides, it is easy to develop tangential campaigns that are not complimentary to your overall business strategy.

In order to reap the great benefits of the online economy, it is important to ensure that your internet marketing strategy is properly aligned with your overall business strategy. By verifying that all of your online marketing efforts compliment your corporate message, you will be able to reap the full profits of branding.

Avenues of Internet Marketing Branding

o PPC keywords and ad copy should espouse your marketing punch line.

o Online press releases are most effective if they point out the benefits of your business website, and these benefits should be congruent with what you are plugging in your messages and slogans.

o Directory articles submissions should be related to your message.

o Blog submissions should not only discuss how your product or website is new and innovative, but also reinforce your branding message.

o Email campaigns need to be handled delicately to ensure that they are not viewed as spam, but if you can include information that is value to your reader, in addition to your marketing message, this is an effective tool.

o Banner ads provide that great visual element, where you can use imagery and text to drive your message home.

o Website content is very valuable in helping the search engines increase your rankings, as well as compelling your visitors to convert through your branding message.

Stage I: Planning

After you have developed your overall business strategy, it is time to develop your internet marketing plan. The first stage of internet marketing planning begins with your domain name. The choice of domain name is critical, and it will follow your business regardless of what future marketing changes you may implement. All other marketing avenues can be changed, but your domain name cannot. Thus, choose wisely and carefully, with your business strategy in mind.

After you have selected the appropriate domain, it is time to develop the look of the website and ensure that it properly espouses your vision for the business strategy. Even the simple use of different colors may or may not compliment what you are attempting to strategically achieve.

Once you have built the fundamentals, it is now time to plan your marketing strategy. Develop your budget, research your target audience, find the right keyword and begin creating the perfect copy for your advertising campaigns. At this stage, you can experiment with different combinations of kewords, copy, and any relevant copy, as long as they are still within the bounds of your business strategy.

An effective tool to research and test your keywords is ZamDoo.com, an innovative PPC management software that tracks both your campaigns and your competitors’ ads. ZamDoo allows you to conduct split-testing of your ads and their copy to determine the higher ROI, as well as run tests on your keywords before you have to take money out of your PPC budget.

Stage II: Monitoring

This is an incredibly critical part of your online marketing strategy, yet most often overlooked. After you have pushed the go button on your marketing campaigns, it is important to monitor what keywords, banner ads, landing pages, and ad copy are effectively yielding you a good ROI. Are there certain combinations of copy and keywords that are generating you the most conversions?

Managing dozens or hundreds of keyword campaigns is a tedious, time-consuming task; in addition, to the naked eye, it is difficult to see the trends and true ROI between your campaigns. Utilizing ZamDoo, all of this monitoring and analysis is automatically done for you, which leaves you with more time to focus on the overall internet marketing strategies for your business.

The more online marketing avenues you have, the more important it is for you to monitor all of them to effectively ascertain which ones are working best for your business strategy.

Stage III: Adjusting

After you have researched and monitored your internet marketing results, act swiftly to adjust to the information you receive. The quicker you can react to the internet marketplace, the better your profits will be. Dump marketing venues that are not giving you high ROI and instead focus on the keywords and campaigns that are working for your business strategy. ZamDoo provides you with real-time analysis on what is happening for your keywords, as well as your competitors’ ads; thus, you can act quickly to the changes and increase your company’s ROI and profit.

By planning, monitoring, and adjusting, you can effectively ensure that your online marketing strategies will optimize your overall business plan. Online marketing is powerful advertising avenues, but the diversity of its audience, changing results of interaction, and intricacies of its psychological tools require your attention to ensure that your message online is clearly branded with the one you have for your overall business plan.

A Few Words of Advice About Internet Marketing

A Few Words of Advice About Internet Marketing

Internet marketing can employ a lot of different techniques depending upon whom you ask or talk to about it. We all know that it is used to better promote your business, but that doesn’t mean that you can totally rely on it. Take some time to work on your site and then refine your marketing plan using the tips below.

Reaching out to ‘influencers’ online is an incredible marketing technique. ‘Influencers’ are people whose messages reach a large number of people. They typically contribute to a blog frequently and tend to be involved in many online communities. You can have access to this large number of people and instigate them to action through an ‘influencer’ if you can make friends with them, and present your product in a positive light.

There are many components that are involved when using internet marketing to promote your business. You must be ready to prepare, create and maintain your marketing tools. You need to research any and all forums to get ideas on how you want to prepare your internet marketing. Never turn down good advice either.

To harness all your creative potential, keep something with you at all times that you can record ideas with. Some prefer paper and pen, but others have a wireless phone app for voice recording. Use it whenever lightning strikes. The next time you sit down to create content, you will have twenty ideas instead of just the two you actually remember.

Getting repeat visitors is your most important goal. To do this you need to have a reputable website with constantly updated content. Being honest is key as building trust with your customer will keep them coming back. Prove that you know what you’re talking about and they’ll believe you, even when you’re recommending an item to purchase.

Online message boards and chat rooms can be a valuable tool for the online marketer. Keyword searches can lead you to posts and messages about your product or service, where you can observe consumers’ perceptions about the strengths and weaknesses of your brand. You can also use this connection to stimulate discussion and gain insight into the wants and needs of your target market.

There are a lot of free e-books and videos available on the internet to learn about internet marketing. Take your time and learn about these methods. If you have the resources, consider hiring someone to do an internet marketing campaign for you. You can research the credibility of the person you want to hire by asking them to provide you with a portfolio of past internet marketing experience.

Try implementing “testimonials” on a dedicated section on your site. People like proof of something, especially when it involves them spending money. Offer a section after a purchase for customers to submit testimonials on a product or service and allow any customers to view this section. It will give you a lot of credibility if they are very positive and can attract more customers.

It’s true that your website should promote yourself by design. That said, you can still take it further by using internet marketing. You can always refine your marketing plan to get more traffic and sales. Hopefully, these tips gave you advice on how to create a better internet marketing plan.

A Few Ideas On Internet Marketing

A Few Ideas On Internet Marketing

Promoting your small business on the internet is crucial in today’s world. The entrepreneur who ignores this gold mine of potential opportunity does so at his or her own peril. There is too much to be gained through marketing on the internet, and little to be lost. If you company is internet based to begin with, this is a no-brainer, of course. But things are rapidly changing on the Web, and those marketing strategies that worked a few years ago may not work as well today. Here are a few things you can do to expose your business to potential new customers that work today, but may not in a few years.

SEO. Search engine optimization. For the internet entrepreneur who wants their website to be a success, this is the first step toward ensuring that success. Unless you have unlimited funds with which to advertise your product, this is a step you cannot afford to skip. Optimizing your website is the equivalent of building your brick-and-mortar store in a major shopping district as opposed to halfway down a dirt road with an old rusty sign pointing in the other direction. Its importance cannot be overstated. There are many facets to SEO, and not enough room in this article to get into them. Fortunately, few topics have been as exhaustively written about. Do a Google search of your own, and you will find plenty to read.

Pay Per Click. This is another fine way to get your internet business off and running. This service is offered by Google, Yahoo!, and MSN, to name a few. With Google AdWords, you’re going to have the most potential traffic, but you may also have the most competition for the best keywords. What does this mean? Well, AdWords (and the others) work by letting you create an advertisement (usually a headline and a couple of sentences). You then must choose the keywords that will activate your ad. Then you place a bid on how much you’re willing to pay per click of your ad, depending on each keyword. It all sounds a lot more confusing than it is. The benefit of this type of advertising (as opposed to, say, banner advertising), is you only pay when you have been ensured of a visitor. Of course, what you do with that visitor is up to you and your own marketing skills.

Articles and inbound links. Next to SEO, this is the most powerful section of strategy for the up and coming internet business owner. In order to move up in the search engine rankings, you must have incoming links (backlinks, as they’re called in the SEO world). When the search engines see a website with a lot of natural inbound links, they begin to see the website as an authority on whatever subject the site is about. Thus, the site’s ranking begins to improve. There are many ways to go about getting backlinks, but one of the best ways is through writing articles. There are article “farms” on the internet, which host your articles for free and then sell them or give them away to other website owners, who are hungry for content. This benefits you because at the end of the article you will have included your name and a link to your website. Every time someone grabs your article to put on their website, you get another important link.

There are a million successful strategies for marketing on the internet, but these are the three building blocks. Go and research them, and your business will be the better for it.
